The event, held at secondary school number 21 in Samarkand, where the First President of our country once studied, was attended by teachers and pupils, residents of mahalla, representatives of the city public.

Classmates of Islam Karimov S. Sharapov, Y. Bilenko told about his childhood, school years of this great man, his sincerity towards teachers and classmates.

- We grew up in the same mahalla, went to the same school, says T. Ahmadjonov. - Islam Karimov used to do every work based on a carefully thought out plan, after-school he used to visit various clubs. He used to be with books even in the summer holidays. We are proud to be studied in the same school with the great man. Islam Karimov lives in the hearts not only of friends and community residents, but the entire people of Uzbekistan.
