April 16. The first passenger airliner fr om Uzbekistan landed at Jeddah airport in Saudi Arabia, marking the introduction of regular airlinks. 

April 25. The first passenger airlinks to Karachi Pakistan started. 

April. The international exhibition Interasia-92 opened in Samarkand, wh ere 30 states showed their products, including Afghanistan, Korea, China, Japan and the CIS. 

May 26-28. The international seminar "Investment law and politics in the Asian-South Pacific region" took place. 

August 1. President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov received the South Korean Daewoo chairman Kim U Djung. 

August 7. At the Chkalov aviation factory, the first test flight of the IL-114 was made by I.R.Zakirov and V.P.Grigorev. 

August 24. A contract on constructing an automotive factory in Asaka, Andijan province, to produce 180,000 cars per year was signed between Daewoo and Avtoselhozmash. 

September. The 3-day Uzbek-Euro-American symposium on international law and private business was held. 

November. The airline Uzbekiston havo iullari began flights to Beijing in the airline TU-154 piloted by A.E.Arapbaev. 

December 3-9. The first exhibition of export goods of Turkey opened in Tashkent.
